Our history
Onyx Village II was established in August 2002 with the vision of addressing the growing need for community support and resources in central Mississippi's rural areas. Founded by a group of local leaders and community advocates, the organization began with a simple but powerful mission: to uplift under-served populations by providing access to education, healthcare, job training. and social services. Since its inception, Onyx Village II has worked tirelessly to fill the gaps in services often overlooked by larger, urban-based programs. Over the years, the organization has expanded its impact through strategic partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and a deep commitment to the people it serves. Today, Onyx Village II continues to be a vital resource in central Mississippi working toward its goal of creating a more resilient and self-sufficient community.
